Terms of use
What tutepod is
tutepod provides lessons a parent can use to teach a child at home, and a record of the child's progress. It is a help to teaching, not a school. It gives no credit, grade or qualification.
The pilot
tutepod is in its pilot: a small group of families using it before it opens to everyone. During the pilot it is for learners aged 13 and over. By adding a learner you confirm that they are 13 or older. We do not ask for an age or a date of birth.
Your account
- A parent creates the account and is responsible for it and for the children added to it.
- A child has a sign-in only by the parent's invite. By inviting a child you confirm you are their parent or guardian.
- Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
What it costs
tutepod is free during its pilot: every lesson in every course can be used with an account, at no cost. When paid plans begin, the first part of every course stays free, and families are told the price before anything changes. Nothing a family has made is ever deleted.
Using the site
Use it to teach your own family. Do not try to get into anyone else's account, to take the lessons or questions in bulk, or to disturb the site for others.
The lessons
The lesson text, the questions and the illustrations are original and belong to tutepod.
Your data
What we store, and how to download or delete it, is on the privacy page. Everything recorded for your family is yours to take away.
No promise of results
The lessons are written with care, and mistakes are corrected when found, but the site is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, that it is free of errors, or that a child will reach a particular result.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time from the Family page. We may close an account that is used to harm the site or other families.
Changes
If these terms change, this page changes, and the date below changes with it.
